I follow the rules of the road. I have been on the BBC since it started in 2010. We all work hard to make Batavia a fun and safe place to ride.

Right nearby? The year-round Thursday night group ride. A little bit further? Palos. Far, far away? Kettle Moraine WI, Camrock WI, Alpine Valley WI, Brown County IN, Marquette MI.

What do you like best about bicycling?

The freedom and independence it offers as well as the physical and mental challenge when you push yourself outside your comfort zone.

Anything else about you we should know?

I commute, grocery shop, return library books, drop off kids at school by bike. Oh, and I race bikes. I like them all but I like racing the most. I compete in the Wisconsin Off-Road Series (WORS), Wisconsin Endurance Mountain Bike Series (WEMS) and National Ultra Endurance (NUE) series. I like the long-format races, I have a few on the calendar already for next race season.

I like that I can travel someplace, under my own power, and I can improve my health at the same time. The only CO2 I produce is what I exhale.
